Kymm practices within trauma sensitive, person centred, neurodivergent affirming and strengths-focused perspectives. She has extensive experience supporting clients of all ages and cultures. Holding various roles throughout her career, Kymm has offered assessment and therapeutic support to clients as well as providing secondary consultation to professionals within child protection, disability, community mental health and education sectors. She has contributed to the field of psychology as a research assistant and presented her research at National and International mental health conferences.
An empathetic and compassionate practitioner, Kymm offers a safe and culturally secure space to collaboratively work through problematic experiences, circumstances and life transitions. Kymm draws upon a range of evidence-based therapies and strategies to tailor support according to her client’s individual needs. Central to Kymm’s practice is improving wellbeing and empowering clients in being the best version of themselves as possible.
Kymm has a particular interest in trauma experiences and posttraumatic growth. Kymm offers support to client with concerns related to perinatal mental health, mood and adjustment, grief and loss, developmental differences, chronic health difficulties, disability, parenting support, social relationships and self-esteem issues.
When not working, you’ll find Kymm enjoying time in the outdoors, taking in the arts or music, learning something new, practicing meditation and catching up with loved ones.
