Click Tanya ​is ​a ​Clinical Psychologist ​(also ​with ​a Masters ​in ​Educational Psychology) ​who has been practicing ​since 1997. ​She ​is ​highly experienced ​in ​the ​full ​range of ​presentations ​of ​mental illness ​in ​adolescents ​and adults, ​including, ​but ​not limited ​to:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety ​including ​social ​phobia and ​other ​phobias
  • OCD
  • PTSD ​(non-combat ​related)
  • Psychosis
  • Self ​harm ​and ​suicidality
  • Survivors ​of ​Child ​Abuse
  • Overcoming ​addiction
  • Coping ​with ​Chronic ​pain ​and chronic ​illness
  • Adjustment ​to ​diagnosis ​of ​a serious ​health ​condition
  • Adjustment ​to ​parenthood, including ​post-natal depression
  • Supporting ​a ​child ​with chronic ​illness ​and/or disability
  • Coping ​skills ​for ​individuals with ​Borderline ​or ​Mild Intellectual ​Impairment
  • Bullying ​at ​school ​or ​in ​the workplace
  • Personality ​disorders
  • Healthy ​relationships, including ​recognising ​the warning ​signs ​of ​abusive relationships ​and ​developing the ​tools ​to ​be ​able ​to ​make choices ​to ​stay ​safe
  • Teens ​and ​adults ​coping ​with ADHD ​and/or ​ASD, ​with ​or without ​learning ​difficulties

Her ​approach ​involves ​a combination ​of ​Cognitive Behaviour ​Therapy ​and Acceptance ​and ​Commitment Therapy ​depending ​on ​the needs ​of ​the ​person, ​as ​well as ​utilising ​principles ​for interpersonal ​neurobiology and ​psychodynamic psychotherapy. ​She ​has ​a special ​interest ​in ​survivors ​of child ​abuse ​and ​how ​trauma affects ​the ​mind ​and ​body. She ​is ​also ​very ​interested in how ​attachment ​patterns ​in early ​life ​affect ​mental ​health and ​relationships ​in ​later ​life. Tanya ​is ​a ​trained ​facilitator ​in the ​Circle ​of ​Security Parenting ​Program, ​which runs ​as ​interest ​dictates. ​She prides ​herself ​on ​being ​able ​to connect ​with ​people ​of ​all walks ​of ​life ​and ​strives ​to provide ​a ​warm, ​caring ​and supportive ​environment ​for ​all clients. to edit.
