Mark is a highly motivated and committed person and feels great satisfaction in assisting people to create positive changes in their lives.
Mark has been practicing as a Counsellor for 9-years; primarily focusing on relationships. Relationships represent a significant part of our lives and overtime they can go through various changes and cycles. He has a solid understanding of this and is able to support you in learning how to maintain and build better relationships with your partner, yourself, and your children.
Mark has extensive knowledge and experience working with couples & individuals who present with: infidelity, marital conflict, separation/divorce, parenting issues, family court, and domestic & family violence. Mark is also able to support clients presenting with grief and loss, addiction (gambling, alcohol/drug dependency), social issues, and general mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment issues).
Mark is trained in various approaches to meet client needs, including; emotional focus therapy, Gottman therapy, person-centred, attachment theory, mindfulness/ACT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused. Mark has trained and co-facilitated various psycho-educational programs; including: ‘Keeping Kids in Mind’; ‘Gottmans’ ‘Emotion Coaching’; ‘Caring Dad’s Program’; ‘Mens’ Behavioural Change Program’; Circle of Security Parenting Program; and ‘1-2-3-Magic’ Parenting Program. Mark is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and compassionate space for every individual. He values working collaboratively with clients, to develop a better understanding of their issues, and therefore increase their skills and strategies to reach goals that are important to them.
